We invite you to the first ever Trailhead Pitchfest!!
As part of our commitment to the environment, we are a member of Sustainably Eco (aka Sustainable Kingston). We have been working closely with them over the past few years to improve our carbon footprint, among other things. We have earned TWO of their Enviro-badges and we’d like another. To earn Local badge, we must stock a minimum of 3 locally sourced products (within 150km!) We already support a few Montreal and Toronto brands, but we need to come closer to home:
“To receive this badge, businesses must offer products that are proven to be Canadian and manufactured locally within a radius of 150 km from the point of sale. In this way, we promote the local economy, reduce GHG emissions on transportation, and enhance the sense of community.”
If we were a grocer, restaurant or gift shop, well this would be a relatively easy task, Kingston has so many great options in the food and maker industry. We are hoping that you know (or own, or make) a brand or product that would be a great fit for Trailhead. If you do, we’d love to hear about it.
How to pitch:
E-mail Michelle an introduction to the brand; include web links and contact information. Please outline what the brand/product is, and why Trailhead would be a good fit! If we feel the product looks like it aligns with us, we’ll reach out to set up a time for a real life viewing.
To receive this badge, businesses must take action on climate change by having at least 20% carbon footprint reductions within the next 10 years, develop an action plan, and release an annual report.
To receive this badge, businesses must be a member of the Green Economy Program at Sustainably.eco and commit to taking action on climate change by moving through the program milestones.
